We are working with a number of clients who are experiencing difficulty in the delivery of items covered by the Countryside Productivity Small Grants scheme. DEFRA are aware of these potential issues however, they will not be providing a blanket extension to the claim period.
The advice given is to e-mail the RPA claims team at CPSGClaims@rpa.gov.uk as soon as possible, providing the following information:
- The project name and reference number provided to them in your Grant Funding Agreement (GFA) The CPSG item reference number e.g. SG1
The make/model/manufacturer
Their original order confirmation from your supplier, with the date ordered
An e-mail explanation from your supplier regarding the delay and an expected delivery date
Some flexibility will be considered on a case by case basis in recognition of exceptional circumstances.
If you are affected by this issue and need any assistance please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Call Alan Falshaw, Farm Business Consultant based at out Tow Law Office on either 01388 730095 or 07425 186127.
Over the coming weeks Vickers & Barrass will be looking at Countryside Stewardship in greater detail and providing you with some key points on which to evaluate the current offerings and how to access this funding in a period when other direct payments will be reducing.
