On the 17th of January the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 (SI 2017/1314) will come into force in England. This regulation has brought a rise of 20% on local authority planning fees. For example the fee for a residential dwelling has increased from £385 to £462. On top of the percentage increase, there has also been a review on the costs of some applications.
