Payment Window Extension to 16 October 2016

DEFRA has not yet confirmed whether this payment window extension will take place but it is likely that England and Scotland will both want to make use of the extended penalty free period. However the RPA are continuing to make Basic Payment 2015 claims regardless of whether or not the extension takes place

If you have not received your 2015 Basic Payment and you are experiencing extreme hardship you can contact the Farming Community Network (FCN). You can email them mail@fcn.org.uk or call them on 03000 111 999 and their lines are open from 7 am to 11 pm every day. The people at FCN are all volunteers and are farmers or who have been previously linked with agriculture and can sympathise with problems farmers are now facing.

Top ups to Bridging Payments

If you have received a bridging payment, the Rural Payment Agency is continuing to make top up payments and this should be followed by your Claim Statement. The majority of payments should have been completed by 30 June 2016. However you should be aware that as with the 50% bridging payments the top up payment will be issued on the basis of what the RPA’s sytem believes the current BPS 2015 claim value to be. This may not always be correct and if your top up payment is incorrect please email ruralpayments@rpa.gsi.gov.uk. You must quote your trading name and SBI number in the subject.

Correction Payments

RPA are finalizing arrangements for BPS 2015 correction payments to be calculated and issued (reconciliation payments). If you have sent a letter or emailed them earlier this year with a query it is hoped that the RPA should be addressing the reconciliation payments shortly.

If you have been affected by any one the above or you think your payment is incorrect then please contact Vickers & Barrass for further assistance.
